Animal Farm is a great book. Well worth the time. Although I know how easily school study can ruin a book for you!
Currently reading the History of the Runestaff omnibus by Michael Moorcock. It contains the four original novels about Hawkmoon. Awesome, but what else would you expect from MM?

OK. Just finished Peter Hamiltons "Nights dawn" Trilogy. And now i'm half way through an anthology of Time Travel stories. Current story : "Tempnauts" by Philip, K. Dick. (Eagerly awaiting the publishing of "Absolution Gap" by Al Reynolds ) Non Fiction :"The Anime Encyclopedia". A comprehensive guide to Japanese animation ( To go along with my special edition dvd of "Akira" ) @ Doul.SL. Good choice Mervyn Peake is one of my favourite authors.

I'm just starting into the "watchtower" section of the Scar.
Then it's back in time to Dorian Gray
Then off to the Tain
After that I think it's time to hit up one of those Simon Winchester books sitting on my shelf... Krakatoa or The Map that Changed the world. Considering that I'm a "Geo-Empath" (or the real-world version thereof) it'll probably be the latter...

Finished the Scar last night.
Awesome book. Great ending. I wouldn't have it any other way...
On to Dorian Grey.

Until yesterday was reading Erikson's Deadhouse Gates, but the bookstore has finally come through with my copy of Effendi by Jon Courtenay Grimwood, so I'm reading that!

I'm reading Defoe's "Robinson Crusoe". I recently finished "Iron Council" and wait for the fourth like a lion in the grass. I hear Chuck Palahniuk's "Invisible Monsters" is excellent. Has anyone yet had a crack at it?

I'm reading Tides of War by Steven Pressfield now. Gates of Fire was very good, so this should be as well (I've only just started so I can't make a judgement on it yet).
Did Gormenghast inspire Mieville? I've heard it talked about in reviews of him. If it did, then I'll read it - I read Glen Cook because it influenced Erikson, and that turned out to be a good decision.
